Benjamín currently works in the Antitrust area at FerradaNehme. His main role is to advise customers on a preliminary basis. Additionally, he represents clients before the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (FNE) and the Chilean Antitrust Court (TDLC) in cases mainly related to cartels, abuses of dominant position and mergers and acquisitions, with a special focus in markets where economic regulation interact with Antitrust Law. Likewise, Benjamín has developed an active and increasing interest in how new technologies impact in Antitrust Law, focusing his work in markets in which, due to their significant innovations, algorithms and big data have a fundamental role. In this regard, he recently widened his research field towards the relation between Antitrust Law and blockchain.
Previously, Benjamin worked at the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (FNE). He also has taught Antitrust Law, Economic Regulation and Antitrust Law and New Technologies at various universities, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
