Practice Area: Competition

Daniel works in the Competition and Economic Regulation practice group, and he also has participated in matters related to Telecommunication Law and Consumer Law.

He recently completed an LL.M in Global Legal Practice, with certification in Business Law, from the School of Law  of the Keio University, in Japan, where he also received the Gerald P. McAlinn Award, awarded “for the best paper in International and Comparative Law written in English”.

During his studies he held a position as assistant professor in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Civil Law courses, and is currently an assistant professor in Civil Law until today. He is co-author of the undergraduate thesis for being eligible as Bachelor Degree in Law and Social Sciences, entitled “El futuro de la hipoteca inversa en Chile” (The future of reverse mortgage in Chile), one of the few works in Chile on such matter, and the first one to address its fundamental legal aspects from the common law viewpoint.
