Jessica Matus leads our Technologies Practice. She is a specialist in personal data privacy and protection, cybersecurity, information technologies, e-commerce and several other subspecialties related to technologies. Her practice includes compliance, human rights, technology contracts, technological transformation and integration processes, and conflict resolution in these matters. Jessica graduated from the Universidad de Chile, is certified in IT Law and is a master’s degree candidate in Law and Technologies at the same university. She has more than 15 years of experience permanently working in these areas, therefore is one of the most recognized specialists in our country.
Her work in several public and private entities allows her to distinguish technologies as an evolving phenomenon and grants her profound knowledge on technologies matters – and their accelerated development – faced by companies, organizations, and people. Jessica is director of Fundación Datos Protegidos, which has a strong international presence. She also teaches at the Universidad de Chile, Universidad Andrés Bello and Universidad Alberto Hurtado. She has several publications in national and international media outlets among which is the first book of personal data in Chile, published in 2006 by the editorial Lexis Nexis, called “Cession of Personal Data”.
