Macarena is part of the Competition and Regulation area of FerradaNehme. She is a lawyer from the Universidad de Chile and has complemented her training with three courses at the Postgraduate School of the same university, on "Collusion"; "Abuse of dominant position and vertical restraints" and "Legal aspects of cybersecurity". She also holds a Diploma in Competition from Adolfo Ibalñez University.

Before joining FN, Macarena worked as an associate in the Corporate Law area at Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos law firm and was also a prosecutor in the Litigation Division of the National Economic Prosecutor's Office.

Macarena has worked as an assistant professor of Civil Law and Administrative Law at the Universidad de Chile.
